“Red Dog Run” 2016

Red Dog Run initiative raises $12,000 for the RSL’s 2016 Anzac Appeal

The Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club would like to thank everyone for their participation in the “Red Dog Run” campaign for the ANZAC Appeal! Congratulations to the 48 dogs that saluted wearing the ANZAC red rug! – $12,000 was raised for the ANZAC Appeal which was a super effort!

A big thank you to Maurice Keating and the team at the Ballarat RSL for being such willing participants in the campaign! To the Ballarat RSL staff members Suzanne Jordan, Kristine Morgan, Trevor and Diane Anderson, Greg Allan and Dean Ditchfield for braving the cold weather and coming along to enjoy the event!

We would also like to thank everyone who attended on ANZAC Day, as all of the money from the gate as well as the profits from the bar are to go directly to the Ballarat RSL! We also raised $200 thanks to those that were generous in buying ANZAC badges and pens etc.

To Linda Mink, Olivia Shying and Christine Barentson from the Ballarat Courier for their continued support of the Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club – It is always greatly appreciated!

Finally and most importantly to those currently serving, and to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice - Thank you
