WELCOME TO THE THURSDAY WRAP
We had an exciting night at the races on Wednesday, consisting of six 390mtr maiden heats and two 545mtr heats, resulting in plenty to discuss.
MONDAY WRAP -
Our Monday T3 meeting was a pretty testing day for the dogs with the temp rising over 30 and strong winds blowing straight into their faces up the back straight. It was day to jump to the front, if you could get the front early you would be hard to beat, nearly all races were won by the early leader.
It was great to see Kevin Ward get a double on the day, The always cheery, Ward had Don’s Racer win Race 9, and the litter sister Don’s Shy Girl took out Race 10.
WEDNESDAY WRAP -
Wednesday night had a stack of heats which will make for great finals next week.
The first of the heats were the 390mtr maiden heats.
Heat 1. Was taken out by an all the way winner, Sire Ollie in a slick 22.27.
Heat 2. Was taken out by the Collins trained Shelby’ Magic in 22.40
Heat 3. Gia proved to strong in 22.43
Heat 4. Sharp trained Just be Patient to win in 22.30
Heat 5. Kilty Shan saluted in the final stages of her 390 heat, in 22.52
Heat 6. The fastest of all the heats went to Altesse in a every slick 22.19.
The last heat was clearly the fastest of the heats both at the first split recording a low flying 8.33 and overall time. Speaking to John Krusselbrink after the race he was finally relieved the dog had won her maiden.
Altesse’s slick 22.19 heat win
The second of our heats were the 545mrt Grade 5 heats, the first 4 placings go through to final.
Heat 1. The ultra consistent Greysynd Emma, lead all the way to win in 31.01,
2nd Mojito Mayhem, 3rd Our Shiraz & 4th Just a dot.
Heat 2. Agent Jack returned to his blistering best with a front running 30.77 (if you don’t mind)
2nd a very gallant Airbound, 3rd Zac’s a sixpence & 4th Beau Mambo.
The locals have a good representation with 2 Vincent trained greyhounds in Just a Dot & Zac’s a Sixpence and John Higgins with Our Shiraz making the final. This should make for an interesting result within our local ranks.
Agent Jacks blistering 30.77 heat win.

We had some horror news come through on Tuesday night from the Horsham meeting, the Darren Murray trained Champion Exhibit had sustained an injury during his race. The young gun still running a creditable 4th has cracked his hock and will be sidelined for at least 2 months. lets hope he has a successful recovery and comes back better than ever.
