WELCOME TO THE THURSDAY WRAP

WEEKLY RACING WRAP -  It’s Thursday again & its time for a weekly wrap. Monday was a full Maiden meeting, where our locals had 4 winners 3 Seconds & and a Third.  Wednesday we had our qualie finals, some 390mtr heats and a very impressive return from a son of Dyna Tron.

MONDAY - The all maiden meeting on Monday saw the locals have a very good day,
with 3 winners 2 seconds and a third.
New comer Stefano Cassar snagged a double with Coca Potion & Cacoethes.

The Cassar trained Coca Potion broke though for a much deserved win, after running consecutive placings and looks as if he can go on to win a few more.

WEDNESDAY -  Wednesday night we had our 2 qualie finals where Hey There Barbie took the 390mtr final for the Deglaitis family.

Big Black Jack won the 450mtr final for John Mcfarlane.

We also conducted 3 x 390mtr heats, The first of the heats went to the speedy Noakis Girl in 22.15, Allen Terminator made it 2 from 2 in his heat win in 22.33 and the final heat went to the Daniliuk bred & trained My Regina salute in 22.42.

We also saw the first up effort for the newly Brooke Ennis acquired Zipping Chubbz. The son of Dyna Tron burnt the truck up in 25.02 over the 450mtr.
Jamie said after the race the greyhound is going to be set for the Geelong cup, scheduled for October 23.

THE LOCAL WRAP -  On the local scene we had a ripping week, with 14 winners.

The Brennan train rolls on with 3 winners

-Ad’s Boy – Warrnambool in 25.28

-Lady Capulet – Traralgon in 22.65 (Semi final of vic breeders)

-Koch – Cranbourne in 17.69

-Coca potion – Ballarat in 25.68

-Caoethes – Ballarat in 22.68

President of the Ballarat Greyhound Club, Alf King also figured in the winners circle this week with 2 winners.

-Mahogany Saphire – The Meadows in 30.25

-Speed Chill – Bendigo in 28.41

Other winners around the state for the week were, Geoff Bumpstead with Taz’s boy, Neville Vincent with Just a Dot, Wendy Hansen with Just a Dot, Brian Hodgson with Major Moe, Rohan Gladman with Rosie Rocks, Bill Donlan with Hardy’s my mum and Sam Bonaccurso with Maverick Blondie.

With some well placed greyhounds around the state in coming days I can see another good week for the locals.
-Weeping Lass out of the red at Traralgon in R11 looks well drawn.
-Major Curly at Healsville this Sunday in R5 has a stack of ability.
