Locals sports clubs made the most of a great fundraising opportunity at the 2016 Energis Ballarat Cup on Friday night, with $1,000 being shared between the Beaufort Football Netball Club and Sebastopol Vikings Football Club, for having the equal most people on course (52 each).
“We’d love to buy some new gym equipment and spend it on our facilities…maybe some new netballs and footballs for the club,” said Joe from the Beaufort FNC.
Meanwhile, the Lexton Football Netball Club won $500 for being randomly drawn to the winner of Race 10 on the night, the Sports Club Challenge race.
