The Weekly Wrap – Black Frenzy

Hello, Hello, yes do not panic we are back off a shorten freshen up. I had 2 weeks off due to the arrival of my first child & you will be pleased to know everything went good and both mum and baby are doing super, now into the good stuff. While I was away we had more improvements/ updates to the club with the installation of 140 solar panels producing a 40 kw system, (with a big thank you to our major sponsor Energis – Smart Energy Solutions) this will help further reduce running costs so we can keep putting back in and continue to improve our club. Keep your eyes peeled because there are more coming.

Wednesday Nights Racing

Wednesdays night racing was a cracker. There were 2 finals from the last weeks heats, a good mixed 4/5 over the 545mtrs, a super run from one of the new acquisition to the Thompson team and the ultra consistent Bills Back notched up his 36th win.

The first on the card was the 450mtr Maiden Final and wasnt it funny run race. The Ennis trained short price fav bombed the kick, while Aston Adele flew the lids landing 2L infront but when rounding the home turn the field bunched and Cheese Ya Later got onto the heels of the leader and caused a scrimmage allowing Shimatron to scoot along the rail and run away with the victory.

The 660mtr final was a beauty with speed chilly setting a good tempo, high-balling in front before being collared rounding Bottle-O bend by Master Bekim, El Chana and Rise Above it all making there moves. Master Bekim hit the front coming into the home straight before Rise Above it railed through to pick him up late and win impressively.

Jason Thompson looks to have acquired another rocket in the name of Black Frenzy, The former New South Welshman made light work of box 6, flying the lids reeling off some serious sectionals in 6.53 and 11.24 down the back and home in 13.78 breaking the magical 25 second marker running 24.96

Bills Back has been around the block and back and last night he notched up his 36th career win form his 56th start. Showing his customary box speed he pinged straight to the front and never looked in any danger and yep he even broke that magical 22 second barrier running 21.99. Well done to Clifford and Patrica Smith in keeping this absolute marvel of a dog going week in week out.
