The Weekly Wrap – Long live our great sport

Hello were back again for another ripping edition of the weekly wrap!

Unless you have been living under a rock you would seen the banning of greyhound racing in NSW as of July 2017, Its a decision which has shocked everybody in the game no matter what state you live in. We all want our great sport to continue, its the greatest sport ive been involved in, from being an owner to breeding, raring, breaking in, pre-training and racing, then to the admin side of things and race day roles like Judging, Lure driving and Parade stewarding and track curating. We all need to be smart how we operate, its certainly not going to be easy with a heap of changes, new rules and restrictions but if we all work together our great sport will live on for future owners, breeders and trainers.

HEATS AND FINALS

We had the running of the two Qualie maiden finals last Wednesday night.
The 390mtr maiden went to the Mallia-Magri trained Blackalls lad leading all the way in 22.60

The 450mtr maiden was won by What’s In Store, sitting just off the leader before taking over and saluting in 25.67

We also had 4 390mtr maiden heats.
Heat 1 Dane Daisy pinged straight to the front and was never headed in a nice 22.62, second was Over It Tommy some 5.5 Lengths away.

Heat 2 Night Theory was super impressive, running the fastest time of all heats in 22.34, in second was Osaka Bale 4.5 Lengths away.

Heat 3 Went to the David Burnett owned and trained Cororooke Chook in a speedy 22.43 with Lucky Seed half a length away in second.

Heat 4 was won by Team Dailly’s Zoltan Bale going straight to the front and winning as he liked in 22.55 with kennel mate Spring Blossom 3 Lengths away.

Review: If Night Theory jumps as he did last week it’ll Game, Set, Match after 15mtrs.
