Welcome along to yet another ripping edition of the weekly wrap!
Its been a busy week here at the BGRC with 3 meetings run and won.
The Saturday meeting was held in conjunction with the Women on track event, a fund raiser for WRISC Family Violence support. The night was a huge success with 60+ women braving the classic wintry Ballarat night to come along and enjoy the night of food, drink and entertainment. A big thank you goes out to Michael Hill jewellers Central Square, Pure Chica pamper parlour, GAP, GRV, Sean Cullen from 3ba and of course, Trent Saitta, Nikki Phillips and Tamara Lockwood who organised and set the night up which of course ran like a Fernando Bale. #seamlessly
We hope all who came along enjoyed the night and we hope to see you back on track very soon
HEATS AND FINALS
Tonight we have the running of the Grade 7 final over the 390mtrs
Last week the heats produced some very speedy runs that will make for a great final. The first 4 across the line qualified because there was only the 2 heats.
Heat 1- Was won by Allen Clown jumping second before pushing through in the straight and winning in 22.36, Krisbar Half Fly lead in 8.46 and was only caught in the last 50mtrs, Push The Trolley was the eye cathing run, having zero luck he still found the line nicely and Hillbilly Hell was caught in a scrimmage and battled away for 4th.
Heat 2- was the fastest of the 2 heats, Captain Pete made light work box 5 pinging straight to the front, recording a split of 8.39 and was never headed winning in 22.06, Elrond Bale was storming late after getting a slight check approaching the first turn, Fiery Felix was the eye cather in this race, Felix was the last to leave the boxes and shoved his way through the field to grab third, while Dom Daisy battled away for third.
Summery: Fiery Felix only needs to begin to take out the race from box 1, Captain Pete has box 6 but can lead and Push the Trolley looks well placed out in box 8.

LOCAL RESULTS
It was a good week for the locals and i’m not just talking trainers, local owner and BGRC employee, Trent Saitta, had his kennel champion, Sunny Breaks, compete in a GRV Vic bred heat last week at Warragul. Jumping from box 3, he railed up to be third rounding the home turn but still giving the leaders 5L it looked as if it was going to be another solid placing, but Sunny lifted and found the line like Chautauqua in last years Manikato stakes and won in the last bob sending him through to the final.
Sunny drew the red in the final but unfortunately he found a little bit of bother at the first turn which put him out of contention, but never the less it gave Trent a big thrill just to be in a final.
Onto our winners and placing tally this week and the local training brigade managed 8 winners and 19 placings and our trainer of the week honour goes to Mr Gary Peach, with only the 5 dogs racing he managed a winner and 2 placings.
