Free Entry

The Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club will officially introduce free entry to patrons starting July 1.

After taking into account feedback received around the implementation of a trainers service fee, the Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club Committee came to a decision late last month.

Club Manager Evan Zammit said the change would be a positive step for greyhound racing in the Ballarat area.

“We are committed to eliminating any barriers to the public attending the races to watch the action, and recognising the Club as a prime entertainment venue within the region of Ballarat.”

“To implement this change the Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club will incur a loss in revenue but it is a worthy sacrifice to make as it is a positive step forward in promoting and advertising greyhound racing as a free entry entertainment across our region,” Mr Zammit said.

“I hope everyone acknowledges the positive action taken by the committee.”

Thank you
