As all you greyhound fans know the 2016 Group 1 Sky Racing Top Gun fields were released and our local representative Come On Fantasy and her consistency was rewarded with a spot in the stayers edition.
The daughter of Premier Fantasy has been racing in excellent form of late, boasting a impeccable record over the 725 mtrs with 31 starts for 9 wins 6 seconds and 3 thirds and a super run in the Group 3 Topcat second behind the all conquering Burn One Down.
Joe is waiting for this girl to come on season so he can retire her and breed with but how good would the Group 1 look on her CV when she hits the breeding barn.
Other news that you may have heard around the traps is that our Manager has resigned, well, yes we can confirm that he has officially resigned.
In the mean time Trent Saitta will looking after the club as newly appointed Assistant Manger. Please feel free to pop in and say hello, although most of you would already know him, and share and ideas or thoughts.

HEATS & FINALS
Last week we had the running of the our Great chase heats and they didn’t disappoint. they were jam packed with greyhounds that are on their way up.
Heat 1 - Went to the speedy Night Theory who made light work of box 8 speeding straight to the front and gave nothing else a chance running 25.51 beating the unlucky Segla who got home into second.
Heat 2 - The fast finishing Alezan won this heat in 25.52 flying along the rail at huge odds beating Julie Flash who lead everywhere except the post.
Bets of luck to all trainers and connections today with the semi finals being held at The meadows.
We also had the running of the Grade 6 450mtr final and it was all over by the shouting as soon as the boxes popped.
Super Smarty for Team Lloyd bounded straight to the lead from box 5 and gave nothing else had a chance winning in 25.45 B.O.N

Most notable was the Super quick win of Six Green Thumbs for Neville Vincent winning at Bendigo in a slick 28.08.
Trainer of the week award goes to Malcolm Hirtzel, notching up 3 winners from his small team of 5.
Gold Diva winning twice in 1 week, firstly at The Meadows over the 600 mtrs in 34.83 then at Horsham over the 570mtrs in 32.85.
Malcolm also had Maximum Mak win at The Meadows in 30.53. Sensational effort.
