Hello and welcome along to another edition of the weekly wrap, This week we said goodbye to our good friend, Stef Bonaccurso, our long-time judge here at BGRC judged her last race here Monday afternoon as she and her family embark on the next stage of their life. On behalf of everyone here at the club we would like to thank her for time and effort she has put in here and the very best of wishes for the future.
We would also like to confirm that the tender for the catering has been awarded to Kevin at Xin Jin Catering. He and his team have been responsible for the sensational Chinese dishes coming out of the kitchen over the past few weeks now.
HEATS AND FINALS
Last week we had to finals run and won, The $7500 Maiden and the annual Carmichael/Howell Memorial.
The Ian Garland trained Hone In was very impressive running away with the rich maiden event. Coming from well off the speed, sighting the leader 5L down the back straight before shoving his way through and giving the leader wind burn and he sped away to make it a 2.5L victory. In second we had a dead heat with the game Dynamic Couldron and fast finishing Matt Machine.
The Carmichael/Howell Memorial was taken out by the Team Dailly trained Shima Song in fine fashion, bouncing straight to the front never headed in 31.64. Flying late in second was Its a Bird and in third Hanging in There.
This week we are conducting 4x 450mtr Maiden heats. Some serious breeding amongst the heats.
Heat 1 - Dyna Archie - Mum was a group 1 place and has produced Multiple winners Bastet Bale and Drapper Bale
Heat 2 - Total Magic - Mum the daughter of star stayer Shanlyn Supreme & sister to group placed Shanlyn Peanut had produced multiple winner Immortal Dream.
